ACF PRIORITIES

We believe the full potential of African Cotton will only be realised through innovative multi-stakeholder commitment to, and focus on, improving productivity, sustainability and value chain linkages.

  • ACF serves as a strategic coordinator between the private, public and civil society sectors
  • ACF provides thought leadership, a common industry voice, and a consultative platform for all stakeholders
  • ACF facilitates development agency and government resource mobilization to generate market and farmer insights, pilot innovations and scale solutions.
  • ACF is not a certification body, but its activities can be compatible with any certification system.

We complement and collaborate with other cotton organizations to facilitate pre-competitive action around shared priorities and address systemic issues at national and regional levels including:

  • Policy advocacy
  • R&D / ICT development
  • Seed systems
  • Smallholder financial services
  • Mechanization services
  • Benchmarking best practices
  • Value chain integration
  • Impact measurement
  • Climate and Conservation
